Manchester United may be forced to pay a huge fee for one 2025 transfer target.
The first Manchester derby of the season is upon us and Manchester United fans are hoping for a Ruben Amorim masterclass.
Amorim hammered Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City 4-1 earlier this season before heading to Old Trafford.
Amorim will have learned plenty about his squad – both good and bad – with United facing a long road back to the top.
January signings may be in short supply after United spent £180million on summer signings but Amorim should be backed next summer.
It may be too early for United to think about the summer but one target is making a name for himself.

Manchester United face huge Juventus demand
Reports earlier in December suggested that United are eyeing Juventus sensation Kenan Yildiz.
The Turkish talent has hit four goals and three assists this season, producing some superb displays along the way.
United love Yildiz as a talent for the future but so do Juventus – and that means a huge asking price.
Calciomercato claim that Juve want up to €80million (£67million) for Yildiz – and that price tag is only growing.
It’s difficult to imagine United paying that kind of money for Yildiz in 2025, especially given how many areas of the squad need attention.
Yet with Juventus interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee, United may be tempted to attempt a swap.
Cash plus Zirkzee would allow the striker to reunite with his former Bologna boss Thiago Motta whilst handing United a potential star of the future.
It’s a long shot but it may be United’s best chance of a deal as Yildiz’s price tag takes off.
Paul Scholes on Kenan Yildiz
Yildiz is catching the eye this season and has even earned praise from former United hero Paul Scholes.
After dazzling against Manchester City in the Champions League, Scholes took to Instagram to rave about his performance.
‘Who the **** is this Yildiz’ wrote Scholes, alongside four clapping emojis having been impressed with his performance.
Scholes would no doubt love to see Yildiz wearing the famous United shirt, but any deal will not come cheap as the Juve talent goes from strength to strength.
