Manchester United are on the verge of one left wing back signing and may be eyeing another to bolster Ruben Amorim’s options.
Ruben Amorim has brought his 3-4-3 system to Manchester United since being appointed as manager in November.
Results have been a mixed bag so far, which is understandable as Amorim looks to make big changes at Old Trafford.
Amad Diallo has impressed Amorim with his displays as a wing back, making the transition from being a natural winger.
Diogo Dalot may be wanted by Real Madrid but his performance at left wing back haven’t exactly impressed so far.
Signings are expected at left wing back and United may hope for two additions in 2025.

Real Madrid stance on Manchester United
Reports suggest that United are on the verge of signing Paraguayan talent Diego Leon.
The 17-year-old can only arrive next summer but may be viewed as the long-term answer in the left wing back role.
United may also be interested in signing more of an instant impact player at left wing back with Alphonso Davies a target.
United started talks for Davies in October with the Bayern Munich star out of contract at the end of the season.
The Canadian is bound to have some big offers on the table and Real Madrid have been keen on luring him to the Spanish capital.
Cadena SER now suggest that Davies was considered ‘close’ to signing for Real by privately committing to signing as a free agent – just as Kylian Mbappe did.
However, it’s now claimed that Davies is now 50/50 over his future with Bayern causing ‘doubt’ by offering him a new deal.
Real are now setting a January deadline and if Davies still isn’t sure about his future, they will move on to other targets.
That leaves a glimmer of hope for United as Real backing away would take one huge competitor out of the picture.
Bayern appear to be ramping up their charm offensive though and unless United can up with a big offer – both financially and in terms of selling the Amorim project – then Davies won’t be heading to Old Trafford.

Bayern on Alphonso Davies future
Davies would be an exciting capture for United given his attacking ability and his blazing speed.
Rio Ferdinand has previously branded Davies the ‘Usain Bolt of football’, as quoted by the Daily Mail, having
Bayern understandably want to keep Davies and president Herbert Hainer has launched a plea to the Canadian.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Hainer has called on Davies, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala to sign new deals.
Hainer wants the trio to ‘set guardrails’ for the future at Bayern, believing that they can be key players at the Allianz Arena for years to come.
“We’ve had Beckenbauer, Hoeneß, Rummenigge, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Neuer,” said Hainer. “Now Jamal, Jo and Phonzy should also join these ranks and set guardrails for the next generations,” he added.
Bayern are clearly ramping up their efforts to keep Davies and whilst Real may back away, this still looks like a difficult deal for United to pull off.
