Ruben Amorim axed Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from his United squad for the 2-1 comeback win against Manchester City at the Etihad in December 2024.
Alejandro Garnacho has fought for his place in the United first team and the 20-year-old winger has been brought back into the fold under Ruben Amorim.
However, Rashford has not featured for Amorim’s men since he was dropped from the United squad and he has hinted his future could be away from the club.

According to Sport, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is believed to be an admirer of the Three Lions international and has ‘already endorsed’ the signing.
The Spanish newspaper added that the 59-year-old German ‘already tried’ to secure the services of Rashford when he was the head coach of Bayern Munich.
It is believed that Hansi Flick ‘values’ Rashford’s ‘versatility very positively’ due to his ability to play on the wing and as a forward.
The Barcelona boss could turn to Rashford as a ‘replacement to rotate’ striker Robert Lewandowski for the second half of the La Liga season.
Barcelona’s two problems with Rashford
The La Liga club are ‘closely following’ the Three Lions star’s situation at Old Trafford, but Barcelona are not completely sold in the same way as Hansi Flick.
Sport reports that Rashford’s ‘inconsistency’ in his career and ‘some problems in his personal life’ have caused concerns about a potential move by the Spanish side.
The publication added that Barcelona are keen to secure a player who ‘can perform immediately’ and the club’s sporting department are ‘not unanimous’ on Rashford.
Rashford’s form fell off a cliff last season and the United star’s struggles extended to losing his place in the England national team, including missing out on Euro 2024.
The England forward is also on mammoth wages at Old Trafford and a club would have to likely offset his hefty earnings as part of a potential transfer.
