Manchester United are interested in a move for Sporting attacker Francisco Trincao.
Sporting star Francisco Trincao has the honour of playing for Ruben Amorim at clubs, previously handed his debut at Braga.
United In Focus reported Trincao is a potential transfer target for Manchester United next summer, a move that would see the Portugal international play for Amorim at a third different club.
No move would take place until next summer, with Ruben Amorim pledging not to sign any of his Sporting players in the January transfer window.

Francisco Trincao contract situation
Part of the attraction for Manchester United with a potential move for Francisco Trincao is the player’s contract situation.
Trincao’s deal at Sporting expires in 2026, which means next summer he will have just 12 months left on his deal.
United have moved to sign players in these situations before, with Raphael Varane and Mason Mount both signed with a year left on their contracts.
Trincao spoke at a press conference this week, and addressed his situation, giving a very mixed response.
He made clear he is happy at Sporting – but has no offer to stay. He told Mais Futebol: “Up until now we haven’t talked about anything, everyone knows that I’m happy here, but there’s nothing on the table. I’m very happy here, it’s my club.”
Sporting preparing for Champions League clash
Ruben Amorim’s former club are back in action in the Champions League, this week facing Arsenal.
Trincao explained this is where his focus is, commenting: “I don’t control the interest of other clubs, I only focus on what I control, which is the game against Arsenal.”
He went on to add that Sporting are still confident of achieving something special this season, and will credit Ruben Amorim with his part.
“It’s a bit of everyone’s work, we’re happy that our work is being recognised, but if the season ends well it will be because of everyone’s work together, both Amorim and João Pereira.”
