Brentford and Cameroon winger Bryan Mbeumo has once again found himself under the major spotlight in the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Manchester United’s activity in the market.
Bryan Mbeumo has been subject to Manchester United’s fierce transfer interest since the summer window first opened back in June, with the Brentford star a key target.
United first made an approach for the 25-year-old Brentford winger last month after the Red Devils tabled an opening transfer offer of £45m and £10m in add-ons.
However, Brentford rejected United’s initial bid for Mbeumo and the Red Devils returned to the Bees in the same month with a new offer for the French-born ace.
United’s second bid for Mbeumo was worth up to £62.5m, with the Red Devils offering an initial fee of £55m and a further £7.5m in performance-related add-ons.
Brentford turned down the Red Devils’ offer again and the Premier League side are demanding more than the £62.5m that United paid for Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
Here is everything United fans need to know about the Mbeumo saga with Brentford — and more — in the latest transfer news and rumours for the Red Devils.

According to David Ornstein, the Red Devils are now ‘awaiting a response’ from Brentford after United ramped up their pursuit of former Troyes player Mbeumo.
Mbeumo wanted a move to United this summer and the Brentford attacker had been tipped to leave the Gtech Community Stadium at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Athletic added that talks between the Red Devils and Brentford had ‘continued’ amid the difference in valuation over the transfer price for United-linked Mbeumo.

United are set to embark on their pre-season tour in the United States and Europe ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils had hoped to have secured the signing of Mbeumo, who has also been linked with Tottenham, ahead of their pre-season campaign this summer.
United’s transfer activity over Mbeumo has frustrated fans and the Red Devils’ prolonged saga over the Cameroon and Brentford star could finally end now.
The London Standard now reports that United’s position after their third bid for Mbeumo is that they are ‘confident’ that it ‘will be accepted’ by Brentford.
The newspaper added that the latest bid from United is ‘expected’ to seal Mbeumo’s transfer to Old Trafford, but Brentford still have to ‘make a decision’ over the offer.
Mbeumo has entered into the final 12 months of his deal at the Gtech Community Stadium, with Brentford having the option to extend his contract by a year.

Alejandro Garnacho has been linked with Chelsea and Napoli in the past and the 21-year-old Spain-born talent has been subject to fierce transfer interest this summer.
Chelsea are in the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho and the Blues are one of three Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the winger’s situation at Old Trafford.
According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham and Aston Villa are both interested in signing the Argentina international amid Chelsea and Napoli’s interest in Garnacho.
Garnacho’s relationship with Ruben Amorim fractured last season at Old Trafford and the Red Devils are now open to selling the United youth academy product.
