Manchester United are interested in bolstering the ranks of midfield with the exciting addition of a wonderkid.
In the opening year of Ineos‘ control at Manchester United, one thing they haven’t got wrong is the recruitment of young talents.
Last summer saw exciting talents such as Chido Obi and Sekou Kone, who were both signed for peanuts by Ineos compared with the potential they have – and are already demonstrating.
Leny Yoro joined for £52m but also fits into this group of signing talents for prices considered of value – when considering how much Josko Gvardiol cost Manchester City for example, this was a bargain.
In January, Ineos continued this with Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell taking prominent roles in recruitment – both known for their young signings and expertise.
This led to United signing Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu – both fit the bill of the new United, while Diego Leon will join in the summer to add to the group.
Now, United are already eyeing up wonderkids for the summer 2025 transfer window.

Christos Mouzakitis the subject of Manchester United scouting trips
Summer 2025 promises to be a blockbuster for United, with several positions requiring attention and improvement.
Already, United seem set on signing Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon. Secondly, Sunderland starlet Chris Rigg is considered a player United cannot miss out on.
Now, United are adding Greek wonderkid Christos Mouzakitis to the list for this summer – along with his teammate, Charalampos Koustoulas.
United have been scouting Mouzakitis – with the 18-year-old a standout for Olympiacos in the Greek Super League and also in the Europa League.
Mouzakitis is an exciting midfielder, with Greek outlet Tovima claiming that in Athens the teenager is being heralded as a ‘young Andres Iniesta’.
The youngster has been tearing it up at the Georgios Karaiskakis Football Stadium with his ‘infallible left foot’ creating real magic for the Greek league leaders.
Mouzakitis possesses composure, technical genius and acts as the brain for Olympiacos, while he always makes the correct decision.
The teenager excels in passing and breaking down defences while also being able to dictate play.
Mouzakitis is a history maker already for Greece
Despite only turning 18 on Christmas Day 2024, Mouzakitis’ incredible breakout season has not been limited to club football.
In November, Mouzakitis was handed his debut for the senior Greek national team, a just reward for his impressive campaign.
Mouzakitis became the youngster debutant in history for Greece when he was handed this moment which speaks volumes about how special of a player he is and could yet go on to be.
In 15 games this season – Mouzakitis has proven already rather consistent and ranks highly in the league for some pivotal qualities including chances created (12 – 78th percentile) and also dribbles (8 – 72nd percentile).
For a debut season, this is very impressive – and the best part is there is a lot more to come.
