Ineos are trying to rebuild Manchester United’s squad with young talent.

Manchester United have prioritised moves for young players since Sir Jim Ratcliffe became co-owner of the club.

Ever since Ineos took control of football operations, United have targeted the best prospects in the game, sticking to the club’s long tradition of trusting young players.

That was the case in the summer when United hijacked Real Madrid’s move for Leny Yoro. They’ve since gone on to sign young players like Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, Diego Leon, Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven.

The eagerly awaited rebuild won’t stop there. It helps that United’s academy is full of bright prospects, such as Godwill Kukonki, who has already impressed Ruben Amorim.

United are expected to continue strengthening Amorim’s squad in the summer with more young players for the future.

Manchester United target Christos Mouzakitis and Olympiacos teammate

Olympiacos duo Charalampos Koustoulas and Christos Mouzakitis have been impressing in the Greek Super League this season.

Kostoulas and Mouzakitis, just 17 and 18, have been regulars in a side topping the Greek Super League with 48 points from 22 matches.

According to Birmingham World, United have sent scouts to watch the pair this campaign, while Aston Villa and Arsenal have already formally expressed an interest in the Olympiacos duo.

United have previous links to Kostoulas after sending scouts to watch him in the Europa League when Olympiacos took on FC Twente. The tall young striker impressed with a man of the match performance.

Mouzakitis has international pedigree

Mouzakitis is an 18-year-old midfielder prospect who has become the latest player to be linked with a summer move to Old Trafford.

After being likened to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta, who enjoyed battles against United in the Champions League, Mouzakitis has already earned full international recognition with Greece.

Amorim will be hoping to improve United’s midfield in the summer, with several players expected to leave the club in the coming months.

Christian Eriksen is out of contract and United will hope to shift Casemiro.

It would make sense for United to rebuild the midfield with younger players. Mouzakitis already fits the profit of target we have come to expect under Ineos’ guidance in the transfer market.
