Juventus stance on Jadon Sancho means Manchester United’s sale hopes may now hinge on one man

Manchester United are still looking to offload players this summer, and winger Jadon Sancho is one player who can leave Old Trafford.

Manchester United beat Bournemouth in the early hours of Thursday morning, securing a 4-1 victory over the Cherries.

Ruben Amorim must be happy with United’s displays so far this summer, with two Premier League rivals defeated in the United States.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo are yet to be unleashed together, so United fans are expecting even more improvement to come.

The transfer window is about to enter its final month, and United are looking to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Outgoings may need to materialise in order for United to sign the Slovenian striker, and a number of players have been made available.

Juventus chief on Jadon Sancho

Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona, while Al-Nassr are keen to sign Antony and team him up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Alejandro Garnacho has been made available, and Tyrell Malacia has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

The fifth man from United’s crop of unwanted players is Jadon Sancho, who is back at Old Trafford after a loan spell with Chelsea.

The Blues turned down the chance to sign Sancho permanently, but the winger has no future under Amorim.

Juventus have emerged as Sancho’s main suitor, but a deal to join the Serie A club has stalled of late.

Juve general manager Damien Comolli has now spoken about Sancho, and somewhat cooled the speculation.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Comolli has pointed out that Juventus are very happy with their current starting wingers, Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao.

Comolli suggested that Juventus will only be ready to bring in a new winger, such as Sancho, if another winger leaves Turin.

That isn’t exactly what United want to hear, with funds needed in order to really advance a move for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

United will hope to see Juve come up with a deal sooner rather than later, but it may all hinge on one player.

Nicolas Gonzalez may hold the key to Jadon Sancho’s future

As noted by Comolli, Juve are happy with Yildiz and Conceicao, but he also offered praise to Argentinian wide man Nicolas Gonzalez.

Juventus signed Gonzalez from rivals Fiorentina last year and turned his loan move permanent this summer.

However, reports earlier in July suggested that Juve could sell Gonzalez with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli interested in a deal.

Inter and Atletico Madrid have also eyed Gonzalez, with the Italian media suggesting that a departure would free up space for Sancho to arrive.

A departure still hasn’t been completed, though, and United are left waiting for updates on his future as Juve stall on offering Sancho an escape route.
