Juventus have received a major transfer boost in their pursuit of one first-team Manchester United player under Ruben Amorim, according to reports in Italy.

Ruben Amorim and his Manchester United first-team players are set to embark on their pre-season tour of Europe and the United States this month and in August.

The 40-year-old United manager saw his players return to the Carrington training complex last week to report for the start of pre-season training under him.

Amorim’s men will begin their pre-season campaign against newly promoted Premier League side Leeds United on Saturday at the Strawberry Arena in Sweden.

The ex-Sporting CP boss is still trying to overhaul his first-team squad this summer, including offloading players who are surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Amorim has also only seen one major summer signing arrive at the Red Devils in the current window, with United signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a £62.5m fee.

Juventus’ latest summer transfer activity could benefit Man Utd and Ruben Amorim in dealing with former Chelsea star Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been on Juventus’ radar and the Serie A club have been the favourites to land the 25-year-old wantaway Manchester United winger this summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund ace is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford after Jadon Sancho’s permanent transfer to Chelsea collapsed in June.

Sancho is out of contract with United in 2026 and the former England international had spent the entire 2024-25 Premier League season out on loan at Chelsea.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus could soon offload Argentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez and receive a sizable payout from a potential summer transfer.

The Italian outlet reports that Nicolas Gonzalez has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Ahli willing to make a ‘significant offer’ for the 27-year-old Argentine.

It is added that Juventus could secure a deal of ‘around €30million’ for the sale of Gonzalez to Al Ahli, which would be a ‘significant figure’ for the Old Lady.

Why Nicolas Gonzalez’s transfer to Al Ahli could speed up Juventus’ pursuit of Man Utd winger Jadon Sancho

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the potential exit of Nicolas Gonzalez from the Allianz Stadium would ‘favor’ Juventus in signing Jadon Sancho from United this summer.

It is believed that United would ‘like to cash in on his transfer’ and Juventus have identified Sancho as a potential winger option for Igor Tudor’s side for next season.

United are reportedly holding out for a £22m (€25m) fee for Sancho, who arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 as part of a whopping £73m deal.

Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Juventus’ initial offer to United for Sancho was only around €10m, including a further €5m in add-ons for the potential deal.

It has been reported that there is still a valuation difference between both sides, but an agreement could soon be reached between United and Juventus over Sancho.
