Al-Nassr bid to sign unwanted Man Utd player in potential star-studded attack around Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United are looking to sell Antony, and the Brazilian could now join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

Manchester United have finally signed Bryan Mbeumo, concluding a rather long and drawn-out move from Brentford.

Mbeumo didn’t feature for United against West Ham United on Saturday night, and fans are waiting to see him in action.

United now need to focus on outgoing deals, with Marcus Rashford loaned out to Barcelona just a matter of days ago.

Jadon Sancho’s move to Juventus has stalled, and while Alejandro Garnacho has been told to leave United, no deal looks close.

Al-Nassr make move to sign Antony

Then there is Antony, who has returned to United this summer after a superb loan spell with Real Betis.

The Brazilian struggled to make an impression for United, but hit nine goals and five assists in 26 games for Betis.

Antony’s stock certainly rose thanks to his spell in Spain, but United are yet to cash in.

Atletico Madrid were favourites to sign Antony last week, and a move away could now be on the cards – but not to Spain.

Foot Mercato now claim that Al-Nassr have made an offer to sign Antony in the hope of bringing him to Saudi Arabia.

It’s unclear just how much Al-Nassr have offered, but Antony could now reunite with former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Antony and Ronaldo spent a brief period together in 2022, before the Portuguese superstar departed Old Trafford.

Nearly three years on, Antony and Ronaldo could join forces once more and attempt to bring success to Al-Nassr, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season.

Joao Felix deal won’t deter Al-Nassr

Al-Nassr are looking for serious attacking additions, and Antony isn’t their only target.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Al-Nassr are also poised to sign Chelsea’s Joao Felix in a permanent move.

Al-Nassr will pay €30million (£26million) plus add-ons for Felix, as well as agreeing to a ‘heavy’ sell-on clause.

The Portuguese attacker is ready to make the move to Saudi Arabia, but the idea is to sign both him and Antony, rather than one or the other.

Al-Nassr seemingly want to put together a new front three of Felix, Ronaldo and Antony, with Ronaldo having history with both targets.

United won’t particularly mind whether it’s Spain, Saudi Arabia or anywhere else for Antony; it’s all about securing a sale and handing Amorim funds to work with in the transfer market.
