With new head coach Ruben Amorim now laying down his plans for Manchester United, Ineos’ dream signing would be perfect for the new system.

Training is well underway at Carrington as the new head coach begins to implement his style on the squad.

Bruno Fernandes joined training on Wednesday, while earlier this week we saw that Antony has a new role at wing-back.

Manchester United are likely to be very dependent on wing-backs in this new system – with the return of Tyrell Malacia well-timed. Harry Amass could be handed a chance, amid links drawing him with a switch to Aston Villa.

Ruben Amorim however will be dreaming of having Geovany Quenda at his disposal at some point with the Sporting wonderkid on United’s list.

Now though, Ineos‘ dream reported target is also one who could be a game-changer for United.

Ineos dreaming of Alphonso Davies

While there are several exciting potential wing-back combinations which Amorim could configure from the options currently at United, Ineos have designs on adding a world-class option on the left.

Alphonso Davies has been linked with United plenty in recent weeks and now Christian Falk has explained that there is a concrete interest in the move.

While Davies would like to remain at Bayern, the numbers simply need to be right on his new contract, this is where United hold an advantage ahead of his £197,000-a-week deal expiring in June.

United’s interest is getting more concrete with the numbers that Ineos are willing to offer is higher than Bayern Munich’s and also Real Madrid’s offers.

This followed Florian Plettenberg reaffirming that Davies is a dream target for United and Ineos in 2025.

Davies is the perfect Ruben Amorim player

When considering the qualities that Davies has as a player, instantly it is clear that he fits perfectly into the wing-back role.

Davies is rapid with and without the ball and can beat opposition defenders with ease – which Amorim demands from his wing-backs.

This is the kind of addition which could be a complete game-changer for a 3-4-3 formation United side.

Amorim could love having a player with Davies’ directness and attacking intent. It may even be the kind of addition which gives United the squad to push toward the league title race next season.
