Ruben Amorim is the new Manchester United manager, however, frustratingly is yet to take charge of training.
The 39-year-old Portuguese coach is still waiting for his work permit to arrive.
Ruben Amorim has been in Manchester since Monday and yet still has not properly gotten started – although he will have been able to watch and analyse his new squad in action.
Kobbie Mainoo got to meet Amorim on Monday, while Leny Yoro and others also got the chance to interact with the new head coach.
While waiting for his work permit, Amorim will probably be gauging as much information as he can about his new Manchester United players – with the academy standouts likely to be focussed on.
It has been suggested that Amorim will take a great interest in the academy. If he does, Harry Amass will undoubtedly be one of the main focuses.

Will Harry Amass be joining Aston Villa?
Earlier this week, it was a bit of a shock to read that Amass had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Aston Villa were linked with a move for Amass, which would have upset a large portion of the fanbase if Ineos allowed it to actually happen.
It would be shocking if he was sold, considering United views Amass as a special talent and a future first-team regular. Now, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has had his say on the situation.
“I’ve not heard that in the slightest, to be honest, I’d be pretty staggered given how we know United feel about Amass.”
It was then continued that Amass is likely a player that the new regime will fancy taking a closer look at.
“I’d be amazed… as he will be one Amorim wants to have a look at in the next few months.”
He did stop short of ruling it out completely but made it clear that this deal seems very unlikely at this stage.
Amass could become key for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United
Arguably the standout performer from the 2024 pre-season tour in America, it is simply baffling that Amass is yet to be given his competitive debut.
It was reported Erik ten Hag had concerns over Amass’ physicality, but with the left-back problems this season surely he should have been afforded a chance – for example against Barnsley at the very least.
This lack of bravery cost Ten Hag, with left-back one position he blamed towards the end. However, for Amorim, it could in fact be a strength with Amass fitting the bill of the demands of a wing-back.
Amass’ strengths lie in attack and in this system he would be given that freedom – while his weaknesses defensively would be hidden.
Due to this, we can even envision Amass starting against Ipswich, but he will need to really impress Amorim next week.
