Manchester United’s winter window finished on February 3 but it hasn’t ended for many clubs around the world so departures are still a distinct possibility.
After Marcus Rashford sealed his move to Aston Villa in the dying embers of the window, Casemiro remains the name at the top of the list of players who have no future at the club.
Ruben Amorim has already made it brutally clear that he doesn’t see a sustainable place for the Brazilian in his physically demanding outfit.
Toby Collyer’s emergence has pushed Casemiro further down the pecking order but a potential move to Saudi Arabia did not materialise in the winter window.
Latest reports indicate that a new contender has emerged for Casemiro who can take him on loan immediately.

Casemiro loan update
It was widely expected at the start of the January window that Casemiro would end the window in a different jersey, particularly Al Nassr where he could reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was reportedly keen to get Casemiro on his team but as the window inched closer to its end, it became clear that the Saudi ship had sailed.
United faced the prospect of keeping a high-earning and underperforming player at the club whose value would only depreciate further without games.
Brazilian outfit Flamengo seem to have stepped in and help United avoid that fate, as per Jorge Nicola, relayed by BolaVip.
Nicola said that Flamengo have inquired about Casemiro’s situation recently and as the Brazilian transfer window ends on February 28, there’s a prospect for the deal to be done.
Nicola said: “I can assure you that Flamengo investigated the player’s situation in the last few days. The English club agree to loan him and help with part of his salary. Filipe Luís would love to count on Casemiro.
“Flamengo understand that, given all the figures, it is a very risky business. Even though United are willing to help with most of the salary, there would still be a very high amount to be paid.”
Man Utd desperate to get rid of Casemiro
Just like Rashford, Casemiro is a player Amorim clearly doesn’t fancy one bit, so even if United have to pay a majority of his wages, they’d do well to do that deal.
That is because Casemiro not playing at all from now on until the end of the season would be worse for his and the club’s prospects for a future sale.

United would rather get some financial relief by loaning him out and hope the player creates a market for himself with good performances.
The club taking that extra step to make this deal happen is clear from their stance that they’re willing to take on the majority of Casemiro’s salary because Flamengo’s wage structure is worlds apart from United.’s.
If Casemiro agrees to leave European football and return to his home country, then this is a move that could quickly gain momentum.
