Ruben Amorim brutally suggests one Man Utd player cannot cope with the Premier League, ‘difference’ claim is made

Ever since Ruben Amorim’s arrival, several players have seen their status at the club diminished.

Manchester United’s poorly built squad was always likely to see Ruben Amorim tear it to pieces.

However, the rate at which he has made his mind up on some high earners says plenty about the state of the club.

Marcus Rashford has lost Amorim’s trust as he continues to fail to attract interested clubs to sign him. With a deal looking unfeasible, it seems he will be stuck at Old Trafford until June.

Another to see his position at United drop is Casemiro, with the Brazilian now relegated to fifth-choice midfielder ever since his embarrassing performance against Newcastle.

Now, Amorim has explained this decision in full.

Ruben Amorim explains Casemiro exit

Among the players who have been hindered by the arrival of Amorim is Casemiro, who has seen his game-time slashed significantly.

Speaking in an interview with TNT Sports Mexico, Amorim discussed his lack of usage of Casemiro.

“We understand that Casemiro has other things nowadays. The intelligence he has, understanding the game, understanding where the ball is going to fall but we’re in a league that I can see, even in European competitions, the difference in intensity is big.

“And so, I feel that this team also needs players with a very high intensity. And sometimes we don’t have that and sometimes that difference in characteristics can lead one player or another to play.

“Even the fact that the group has a certain characteristic as a group. I needed some players in certain positions with a slightly different pace. But we all know the quality Casemiro has and everything he won. And so, I have nothing to say about that. It’s just a choice.”

Manchester United have already replaced Casemiro

Casemiro looked destined to leave United this month at one stage. However, interest from Saudi Arabia has since been refuted by claims in the country.

This is a shame for the player, as he quite clearly won’t get game-time at United.

But it is also a shame for United considering the financial relief his exit would provide. United also already have the Casemiro replacement sourced.

This is Toby Collyer who is firmly established as a first-teamer now after a series of impressive performances under Amorim.

Casemiro will now likely see the summer become dominated by his exit unless a late surprise awaits United.
