Manchester United sale could decide Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, he’s depending on it

Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t leave Manchester United the second time on the best of terms, to put it kindly, but he could be about to help them massively.

It is an open secret that Manchester United need to sell to buy, especially in a difficult January transfer window and with so many positions needing addressing, the problem intensifies.

Their players are on the worst possible combination of high wages and low performances, case in point, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Rashford is in talks with AC Milan while Casemiro has been linked to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr where he can reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, which the Portuguese superstar clearly desires.

What wasn’t clear is the lengths he was willing to go to make that happen and after the latest developments, United would be thankful for him!

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future depends on Casemiro transfer

Casemiro would be extremely difficult to shift in normal circumstances as he’s on the wrong side of 30, his best years are behind him, and he’s on wages that would put him amongst the top five or ten players in any elite side in the world.

Saudi Arabia was the only realistic alternative as not only can they match those wages, but they are likely to far exceed his current one, a situation he won’t get anywhere else.

Unlike Rashford, he doesn’t have anything left to prove in top-level football either so spending the last few years of his career with his friends while being on ridiculous money is an attractive proposition.

The only stumbling block could have been if his performances were not even good enough to force Saudi’s interest but Ronaldo seems to be taking care of it.

Marca reports that Ronaldo is ready to go nuclear and force Al-Nassr to buy Casemiro. If they don’t act on his wish, he’s ready to leave Saudi Arabia and look toward the MLS.

Ronaldo believes that Casemiro’s arrival is necessary to form a “champion team”, with Al-Nassr far behind the likes of Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad since Ronaldo joined the team.

He is ready to reunite with Casemiro and if that doesn’t happen in Saudi Arabia, then he’s willing to make it happen in the USA, which would be a nightmare for the Saudi Pro League.

Man Utd have been sent a gift

It is highly likely that the Saudi Pro League wouldn’t have been interested in Casemiro had Ronaldo not been present in Al-Nassr, effectively with more power than the club he plays for.

The Brazilian doesn’t have the public profile that brings the crowds to the stadium, something that the league looks for in potential targets.

He isn’t a name that would get the fans out of their seats and his on-pitch performance levels won’t be anywhere near the player who flourished alongside Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

However, Ronaldo’s presence in the league is paramount to their public profile which indirectly means they have to cater to his whims and fancies.

In his wish to reunite with Casemiro, United have been sent a gift that they otherwise wouldn’t have expected so they can be thankful to the Portuguese.

He’s still helping United years after leaving the club in a manner of scorched earth!
