Edinson Cavani has reported signed his Manchester United contract extension.
The Uruguayan has put pen to paper on an extension after a blistering end to the season, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Cavani has scored eight goals and provided three assists in his last seven Manchester United games.
Four of these goals came in the Europa League semi-finals, in which he became the first United player since Tommy Taylor in 1957 to score in both legs of a European semi-final.
United have now confirmed the deal.
Cavani signed for United last October on a free transfer after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain had expired.
The Uruguayan has scored 15 goals this season and has got better as the campaign has gone on.
He is yet to experience playing in front of fans at Old Trafford, and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been urging him to stay on to feel the love and passion from supporters next season.
Cavani’s season could end with silverware, with United now into the Europa League final.
He has become a big part of the squad, as a leader, setting an example to this talented young group of players.
The news he is staying for at least one more year is a fantastic development, and hopefully sets United up for another successful campaign next year..
