Manchester United have a proud tradition of developing the best young players.

From the Busby Babes to the Class of 92, Manchester United have established one of the best academies in English football.

The United academy still produces talented players like Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, both of whom have moved from the youth ranks to first team in recent years.

Ineos have shown that they are also interested in developing young players at United, which bodes well for the future, after capturing young players like Chido Obi and Sekou Kone in the summer.

Ruben Amorim has shown an interest in the youth teams by attending a U21s match recently. The youngsters will see this and it will hopefully push them to the next level because they’ll be trying to impress United’s head coach.

Leny Yoro was the most high-profile young signing and he’s gone straight into the first-team. Meanwhile, Chido Obi and Kone will prove themselves on the youth stage first.

United have since been linked with more talented young players who will be dreaming of getting an opportunity to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs at Old Trafford.

Nimfasha Berchimas impresses on Manchester United trial

Manchester United U18s played a behind-closed-doors friendly against Burnley on Friday.

One player who featured for the Reds was American trialist Nimfasha Berchimas.

The 16-year-old got his name on the scoresheet to impress the coaches as United won 3-1.

Berchimas uploaded a picture to his Instagram story after the match and was keen to boast about scoring a goal.

Familiarising himself with his new surroundings, Berchimas posed for a picture with Chido Obi following United’s FA Youth Cup victory over Coventry City.

The USA U19 international plays for Charlotte FC and is considered a big talent for the future.

Berchimas has been given a tour of Old Trafford and he will be trying to impress Europe’s biggest clubs while the MLS in its off-season.

Manchester United close in on deal for Paraguayan sensation

As we mentioned above, Ineos’ transfer recruitment policy places a clear emphasis on youth.

United have turned their attention to Paraguayan teenager Diego Leon to help address the problems at left-back.

Leon is expected to join United in 2025.

However, United were without a recognised left-back for the start of the season due to injuries. This meant Diogo Dalot was forced to play on the opposite flank, which is far from ideal.

Amorim not only needs options in each position, but quality must be a priority for a club like United if we’re really aiming to get back to the top of English football.

It looks like United have their finger on the pulse when it comes to young talent. That’s the way it should be!
