Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is closing in on a move to West Ham United with developments expected soon.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a move to West Ham United this summer with the Hammers keen on signing a new right-back this summer.
West Ham originally wanted Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui but the Moroccan has made it clear he wants to join Manchester United this summer.
There had been fears that West Ham would start talks for Arnau Martinez with the Wan-Bissaka deal continuing to stall but it appears that a significant step has been taken for the Englishman to end his five-year association with the Red Devils.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham at the ‘advanced stage’
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg posted on X that the Hammers are closing in on completing the signing of the former Crystal Palace right-back.
Both clubs are reportedly in contact now and want to finalise the deal today. Crucially, Plettenberg claims that personal terms are agreed for the Englishman to depart which was rumoured to be holding up the deal with Wan-Bissaka owed money from United.
A medical is reportedly planned for the next three days and once this deal is completed then United may get a signing of their own done.
With just three weeks left of the summer transfer window, United need to get a move on and Mazraoui has agreed terms on a move to Old Trafford so that deal for the Moroccan could well advance if Wan Bissaka completes a move to the Hammers.
Wan Bissaka signed for United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for £50 million in 2019, United may be lucky to get a third of that amount.
Mazraoui deal will get done sooner rather than later
With Wan Bissaka heading out the door, United will complete the signing of Mazraoui sooner rather than later you’d feel.
With Diogo Dalot nailed down as the first choice option, this leaves the Moroccan as a backup right-back but also a left-back with Luke Shaw’s injury problems well documented.
Wan Bissaka was seemingly never really rated by Erik ten Hag with the Englishman only having a brief stint towards the end of his debut season as United boss where the right-back was the first choice.
Depending on the fee United gets for Wan-Bissaka and pays for Mazraoui, this could well be smart business done by Ineos.
