England head coach Thomas Tuchel has now paved the way for Manchester United to explore one world-class manager to succeed Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Thomas Tuchel was linked with Manchester United in 2024 and both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos considered him as a replacement for Erik ten Hag at the Red Devils.

Paul Scholes says Tuchel is his number one choice
Fast-forward from Man Utd’s failed pursuit of Tuchel and the 52-year-old German was once again tipped for the Red Devils head coach role this summer.
Michael Carrick is currently steadying the ship at Old Trafford for the rest of the 2025-26 season after United sacked Ruben Amorim from his role last month.
Amorim’s 14-month reign as Man Utd manager came to an abrupt end after the 41-year-old coach’s high-profile relationship breakdown with the Ineos regime.

Thomas Tuchel throws a spanner in the works for Man Utd after huge England call is made
Manchester United were expected to wait until the summer to appoint a new long-term replacement for Ruben Amorim ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season.
Thomas Tuchel was announced as the successor to Sir Gareth Southgate in 2024 ahead of the former Man Utd-linked manager starting his role with England in 2025.

Who do you think will be Man Utd manager at the start of the 2026/27 season?
🔮 Let us know who you believe will and should be in charge? Who will Ineos appoint?
Ahead of the World Cup in North America this summer, the Football Association (FA) finally ended speculation around Tuchel’s long-term future with the Three Lions.
Tuchel has now put pen to paper on a new contract with England, which will keep the former Chelsea head coach with the national team through to Euro 2028.

Thomas Tuchel’s call means that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos must not miss out on Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti, much like England manager Tuchel, has been linked with the Red Devils ahead of Brazil’s upcoming World Cup campaign in the summer.
The 66-year-old Italian was appointed Brazil manager last summer and led the five-time World Cup champions through the remainder of their qualifying campaign.
Prove me wrong… Carlo Ancelotti should be Ineos’ top option to become permanent manager this summer!
Do you think Ancelotti would be a success? Do we stand a chance of getting him?
Carlo Ancelotti is in the same position as Tuchel before the England manager inked his new deal, with ‘Don Carlo’ being out of contract after the World Cup tournament.
The expectations are high on the former Real Madrid and AC Milan manager to deliver at the 2026 competition with the famed five-time World Cup winners.
Ancelotti is still an elite manager for Man Utd to explore and Ineos cannot afford the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) pulling the same decision as the FA did.
Tuchel might no longer be an option for United, but the Red Devils still have a world-class manager like Ancelotti to put the club on track for the 2026-27 season.
