Man Utd’s final pre-season game could shape up as an incredible debut for a potential new signing

Manchester United have finalised their pre-season schedule, confirming that the last game will be a classic titans clash against AC Milan.

The game, taking place on August 15, is set to take place in Poland, and Man Utd will hope they will have most of their house in order by then.

The fixture will end a six-game gauntlet for Michael Carrick’s side as he tries to pick up from where he left off last season.

The mood around that game against Milan could end up being incredible if United manage to sign one player, in particular.

Robert Lewandowski could make Man Utd debut in Poland

It is a pipe dream at best, and an unlikely scenario as it stands, but Man Utd could do a lot worse than explore the terms of signing Robert Lewandowski this summer.

United are in the market for an experienced striker, and there aren’t many strikers more experienced and with a richer pedigree than Lewandowski.

The Polish legend is a free agent after leaving Barcelona, and could be tempted to make himself a cult hero of Old Trafford for his swansong.

If he signs, then the stage could be set for him to make a truly emotional and incredible debut for United in his home country.

Since he’s a free agent and United don’t have that striker position high up in their list of priorities, it’s fair to assume that the striker signing will come later in the window.

It’s quite possible that Lewandowski signs around the same time, and if United love a marketing opportunity, this has fallen into their lap.

A legendary Polish striker, coming to revive a sleeping giant in the final years of his career, by leading a team of exciting young talent straight to the top, making his debut in his home country.

The script simply doesn’t get better than that.

Now, if only the terms of any potential deal for him are palatable for United!
