Manchester United’s biggest positional weakness under Ruben Amorim has become glaringly obvious and now Ineos must solve it.
Ruben Amorim spoke following his teams 4-3 defeat to Tottenham, explaining that he was not too disheartened because the Red Devils deserved to win the game.
Already under Amorim, Manchester United are doing things Erik ten Hag never managed, such as having a defined style of player which improves week after week. However, there is only so much Amorim can do with the current group of players which is why additions could become necessary.
Amorm is believed to want a left wing-back – a position which is probably the weakest at the club right now – and there is one option emerging as the perfect choice.
Signing a generational talent for the position would follow in the footsteps of Leny Yoro, so Ineos need to get this deal done.

Patrick Dorgu is the one to solve Ruben Amorim’s biggest headache
The left-back or left wing-back position for United has been one which both Amorim and Erik ten Hag highlighted to be a problem.
Diogo Dalot has been filling in to poor effect, while Tyrell Malacia has only just returned from an 18-month lay-off. Meanwhile, Luke Shaw seems incapable of avoiding injury as he is once again ruled out.
Due to this, United must go big on a solution for Amorim, and that must entail Patrick Dorgu being signed from Leece in Serie A.
The young Danish star has been having a breakout season for Leece. This has led to United scouting Dorgu in recent weeks.
Amorim wants to sign Dorgu, who began his career in Denmark with Nordsjaelland and he is now a full international at the age of 20.
Dorgu suits Amorim’s system perfectly, as he began his career as a winger before morphing into a left-back. Perhaps something in between the two roles will suit him perfectly.
Dorgu has everything Manchester United need
When compared with other full-backs in the top five European leagues it becomes clear why Dorgu is among the top options.

Dorgu however importantly has the physical qualities which would see the bar within United’s squad raised.
Ineos‘ young signings have all been physical standouts and this is a factor in determining whether they can make it at the top level.
Dorgu is like Yoro in that regard. He could be an absolute game changer and offers such a different set of qualities to the current options at Amorim’s disposal.
Ineos have to get this deal done.
