Ruben Amorim is here and already he looks tailor-made to be the Manchester United manager.
The 39-year-old head coach has got Manchester United fans believing again.
Ruben Amorim arrives at United with the endorsement of Jose Mourinho among others, however despite how incredible a coach he is – time and patience will be needed.
The squad Amorim is inheriting will require work, with plenty of casualties expected as Ineos are sure to back the Portuguese coach unconditionally.
It will not only be outgoings though, with Dan Ashworth no doubt already on the prowl for shrewd additions to help improve the squad.
So with that in mind, here are five possible transfers who should be top of Amorim’s list of demands.

Geovany Quenda
If given an open chequebook by Ineos – we are sure that Amorim would be straight to Sporting Lisbon and after 17-year-old Geovany Quenda.
Amorim has been full of praise for Quenda in the past and logical thinking would dictate that a move will indeed be looked at by Ineos.
United held an interest in Quenda before Amorim was even linked with replacing Erik ten Hag and since then, rumours have only accelerated.
Quenda would be perfect for the system Amorim could put in place at United and it would be a move fans would love to see.
Chris Rigg

The second name who could be heading Amorim’s list is another 17-year-old, Sunderland’s Chris Rigg.
It was reported in September that United were pushing hard for Rigg and this is not something which has changed as the Championship’s most talented player will have the pick of clubs in 2025.
Rigg has shown why he’s a United target on various occasions this season,
Omar Marmoush

The next name on the list is Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush who could revitalise a tired frontline at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have been linked with Marmoush ahead of the January transfer window and it is clear to see why.
Marmoush has 11 goals and seven assists this season in the Bundesliga and he could effectively slot into any of the front three positions in Amorim’s 3-4-3 and therefore he’d be an immaculate pick-up by Ashworth.
Viktor Gyokeres

Another attacker who could be an impressive addition for United along with Marmoush is Sporting Lisbon’s No.9 Viktor Gyokeres.
Gyokeres and Amorim had a strong relationship at Sporting and since the head coach was appointed at United the Swedish striker has been linked with joining his former manager.
The 26-year-old has 23 goals in 16 games across all competitions this season and if signed Gyokeres could bring a guarantee of goals which Rasmus Hojlund cannot. At £63m, Gyokeres could be an immense pick-up and it would take beating some of United’s biggest rivals to do so.
Alvaro Fernandez

The final name on the list also happens to be the most plausible, with Alvaro Fernandez’s potential return to Old Trafford a popular link at the moment.
Sold to Benfica for cheap in the summer, now rumours are flying around that Ineos could bring the Spaniard home in order to fill the left wing-back role for Amorim.
Amorim is said to be a fan of Fernandez and his £16m buy-back option looks incredibly tempting. A shrewd move which would disappoint the likes of Liverpool.
