Manchester United have welcomed on Sporting boss Ruben Amorim as the next man to try and get the club back on track.
Erik ten Hag was sacked as manager of Manchester United after a defeat to West Ham United meant Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos had to make a decision.
The minority owners settled on Ruben Amorim, who has been confirmed as the new United manager and has now arrived at Carrington.
With the new head coach ready to settle in and introduce himself to Red Devils fans, here are 10 quotes that sum up the Portuguese manager ahead of his stint at Old Trafford.

The best quotes about Ruben Amorim
Jose Mourinho

Pep Guardiola
“I spoke with Matheus Nunes – he was his player – and he speaks highly about him. And this season he’s unbeaten and winning all the games in the Portuguese League and the Champions League, with the same points as us.
“So he’s a high manager. I have the feeling that United, from what I hear, if they’re thinking about him, it’s because he’s a good manager.”
Bruno Fernandes

“I mean, obviously he is a good manager! We don’t know if he is coming or not. We see the rumours, like everybody, but we will just focus on doing our job. What the future brings, we will be ready.”
Tiago Margarido (Nacional manager)
“Amorim is an example for all of us, especially the younger ones, not only because of his attitude but also because of the way he communicates.
“Whatever happens, I wish him all the best. If the transfer goes through, it will be a great signing for Man United. It is a good destination for him and I think he can be very successful.”

“His team is really organised and fights a lot. He is always trying to improve his players too. He works with young talent but also with experienced players as well and what they all have in common is that they fight. They are really intense.”
Vitor Campelos (coach at AVS)
“He has this positive mindset, a really good mentality. He has created a good connection between him and the players and also with the president. He is always straight with the players and even with the press he is a straight person.”
Joao Fonseca (coach at Benfica B)
“The work that he has done and is continuing to do in developing young talent is the biggest reason for his success,” Fonseca explains. “Sporting have an amazing academy with a lot of talent. And Ruben is a coach who has an ability to shape diamonds.”
