Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore has been back on the pitch over the last few weeks and impressive in doing so.
20-year-old Dan Gore had a disaster in 2024 up until recently as he spent a substantial amount of time on the sidelines due to injury.
Manchester United sent Gore to Port Vale on loan in January, however after one appearance he was out for the remainder of the campaign.
Gore barely kicked a ball during his loan – yet returned to United training immediately upon his loan concluding. However, he missed pre-season due to dislocating his shoulder during the off-season.
Now, Gore is back and he is making some real statements for Manchester United.

Dan Gore impressing for Manchester United
Gore has only recently returned to the fold but has already been in impressive form for the United U21s.
In the EFL Trophy last week against Doncaster Gore made his comeback appearance – his first game in eight months and he was very impressive, especially considering how long he was out for.
This continued on Friday in Premier League 2 action as Gore caught the eye against Norwich.
Now, he has also been in good form in the International Premier League for United against Hertha Berlin during a 1-1 draw – in which Zach Baumann scored United’s only goal.
Gore started in midfield for United and in the process made some impressive contributions to Travis Binnion’s team.
This included showcasing some of his lesser-known qualities with an excellent, mazy run with the ball which resulted in him being fouled just outside the box.
Gore is still getting up to speed, but early signs are that he is just as good, if not better than when we last saw him in action for the Red Devils against Aston Villa in December 2023.
Ineos will be impressed with Gore
Gore has already made his debut for United, which came in a cameo against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup. During this display, Gore was a shining light and did himself and the academy proud which proved that he belongs at this level.
For Erik ten Hag, this resurgence from Gore has come at the ideal time with Kobbie Mainoo expected to be out injured with a suspected hamstring injury.
Gore could be well-placed to make the step up having already earned Ten Hag’s trust. However, he will now have to contend with Toby Collyer for the role of academy midfielder in the senior team.
Ineos will also be impressed to see how quickly he has gotten back up to speed with the potential for a loan move in January should Ineos plan it well.
For the 20-year-old, the rest of this season is key and we need him to get a loan or the chance for senior minutes with United. Gore could learn plenty from Manuel Ugarte and therefore the pair working together would be beneficial.
