Manchester United are yet to tie club captain Bruno Fernandes down to a new contract.
Bruno Fernandes is entering the final year of his Manchester United contract, with his deal currently set to expire in June 2027.
United have no plans to sell Fernandes despite interest from the Saudi Pro League and Turkey. Fernandes previously rejected a £100m offer from Saudi to stay loyal to the Red Devils.
Ineos want to build around Fernandes for Project 150, and a new contract is being discussed. The Portuguese playmaker has been very clear about what he wants before signing on the dotted line.

Bruno Fernandes contract talks do not revolve around money
Fernandes has made it blatantly clear that money is not his priority. If it is, he would have been playing his football in Saudi Arabia last season.
Instead, Fernandes wants to win trophies, namely the Premier League and Champions League, and he wants to do it with United.
Before the end of last season, it was made clear that Fernandes wants to see an ambitious transfer window from Ineos before he commits his long-term future to United.
“What I always say to the club is, you can’t promise me I’m going to win the Premier League, that’s impossible. But if you promise we’re going to be competitive — that’s all I need to know.”
Fernandes wants Ineos to build a competitive squad – one capable of bringing the first Premier League trophy back to Old Trafford since 2013.
Clearly, he is yet to be impressed by United’s transfer business.

Ineos need to ramp up transfer business to keep Bruno Fernandes
United have already signed Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Tynan Thompson to bolster the first-team squad, but more reinforcements are needed.
Ideally, United need a marquee third midfield signing to complete the rebuild. There is still positivity around signing Aurelien Tchouameni.
Signing Tchouameni would surely be enough to convince Fernandes to ink a new contract.
United are also in the market for a new left-back, potentially Lewis Hall, as well as a back-up striker to support Benjamin Sesko.
If United complete those three transfers, then Ineos can return to the negotiating table with Fernandes.
