Bruno Fernandes has already won several individual awards for his performances this season, but the Manchester United captain has issued a demand to his teammates to push for collective awards.
Manchester United achieved their season objective of securing Champions League qualification.
On top of that, United’s 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest means they will finish third in the Premier League with one game left to play. That may be a significant improvement from finishing 15th last season.
Still, Fernandes wants more as United intend to bolster their squad over the summer.

Bruno Fernandes wants collective awards
Fernandes was recently voted the FWA’s Footballer of the Year.
And, for a fifth season, Fernandes was voted United’s Player of the Year.
Fernandes was asked about his recent awards by Sky Sports after United’s win over Forest – a game that saw him record his 20th Premier League assist of the season.
The club captain stressed that he wants collective awards more than anything. That means trophies and pushing for Premier League titles.
“I want collective awards more than anything, but knowing that your job is being recognised by many people,” Fernandes said.
“A lot of players came out and said I was player of the season. For that, I am very grateful.”
Only time will tell if United can match Fernandes’ ambitions because he will want to push for the league title next season.

Since joining United from Sporting CP in January 2020, Fernandes has won two trophies.
Fernandes won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup under Erik ten Hag, but he lost the Europa League finals under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ruben Amorim.
Carrick will hope to win his first trophy as United head coach if he gets the job beyond this season. It bodes well that he has a strong relationship with Fernandes.
