What Alejandro Garnacho has been spotted doing this week after open-goal miss vs Fulham

Alejandro Garnacho left the Old Trafford pitch with his head in his hands after missing an open-goal chance late on against Fulham.

Manchester United kicked off their Premier League campaign in winning fashion with Joshua Zirkzee scoring on his debut to snatch all three points.

Erik ten Hag’s side were deserved winners, but it was an unnecessarily nervy affair for United, who should have comfortably led by two or three.

Bruno Fernandes uncharacteristically missed two big chances in the first half, while Casemiro and Mason Mount were also denied from close range.

Thankfully, Zirkzee came off the bench and broke the deadlock in stylish fashion with a neat finish into the corner. It was followed by the biggest miss of the match when Alejandro Garnacho missed an open goal after being teed up by Marcus Rashford.

Alejandro Garnacho putting in extra work

Garnacho sent Zirkzee a three-word message after he netted the winner, and the Argentine star will be thankful that United’s new signing meant that his late miss was meaningless.

According to the Daily Mail, Garnacho has been putting in extra work this week as he looks to put his Fulham miss behind him.

They report that the 20-year-old winger has been attending the NAS Elite Sports Performance Centre to put in extra work ahead of United’s trip to Brighton.

It adds that the facility has previously been used by United teammate Kobbie Mainoo as well as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who completed a £15m move to West Ham this summer.

Sofyan Amrabat also visited the performance centre during his time with United.

There is no ceiling for his potential at United and he appears to be laser-focused on his football and performances this season.

He has had to start the season on the bench due to the fantastic form of Amad Diallo throughout the summer, but he seems determined to regain his starting spot under Ten Hag.
