Manchester United loanee Diogo Dalot finally looks to have forced his way into the AC Milan side for Serie A matches.
The 21-year-old played every minute of their Europa League campaign before the turn of the year.
In 2020, he started just one Serie A match but he has started three of the four in 2021, coming on as a sub in the other.
He has showed his versatility too. Dalot was switched from right back to left back for the trip to face Cagliari on Monday night and played his part in a 2-0 victory.
That win, sealed by a brace from former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, put Milan back on top of the table.
Dalot’s solid performance deputising for Theo Hernandez also earned him a place in WhoScored’s team of the week.
He might have been seen as slightly flimsy defensively during his time in England but Dalot was rock solid here.
Dalot made four tackles and four interceptions, more than any other player in a Milan shirt.
He also completed four clearances, and no player on either side completed more.

Dalot shining out on loan is important, given the fact that some of United’s other loanees seem to be struggling right now.
Xisco Munoz’s appointment at Watford has seen James Garner slip out of favour, while Tahith Chong hasn’t established himself at Werder Bremen yet.
Dylan Levitt and Matej Kovar have seen their loan spells in League One end early, but Dalot has been patient and is now getting the rewards.
