United fans react as Dortmund promote virtual tour without Sancho

Jadon Sancho’s transfer to Manchester United is widely reported to be imminent. BILD and BBC Sport both report negotiations are in the closing stages.

The biggest clue, however, now appears to be from Borussia Dortmund themselves.

Dortmund last night were promoting their upcoming nine-day virtual round the world tour, which will allow fans to interact with players.

Crucially Sancho was missing totally from the promotional video, and then excluded from the promotional poster (below).

Top stars Erling Haaland, Marco Reus and Jude Bellingham all featured.

But Dortmund’s top assist provider and third highest goalscorer from the 2020/21 campaign was suspiciously missing. The Bundesliga side are usually quick to promote anything Sancho related.

Sancho’s absence from this virtual tour poster appears to be a sign Dortmund are preparing for his sale to be announced shortly.

United supporters reacted positively after seeing Dortmund’s tweet…

Dortmund made a big fuss of retaining Sancho last summer. There is no such bolshiness on social media this time around.

There is no attempt at mystery or suspense on their part by keeping Sancho in the poster for the upcoming virtual tour. They likely know that by time it goes ahead, the winger will be a Manchester United player.
