Ahead of the final weekend of Premier League action, Kingsley Coman was reported by ESPN to be on Manchester United’s radar.
Coman is an option as an alternative to Jadon Sancho, but such is United’s lack of depth on the wing, it doesn’t necessarily just have to be an either/or scenario.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could push the boat out to sign both, with Coman lined up for a possible season long loan.
Bayern may need to be talked into this, but here are three reasons why United should pursue a move…

Proven winner
Kingsley Coman might just be the most decorated 24-year-old in world football.
After spells with PSG, Juventus, and Bayern Munich, Coman has amassed a staggering nine title winners’ medals in France, Italy and Spain. He also has a 2018 World Cup winners’ medal too.
With United returning to the Champions League next season, a player of Coman’s youthful experience could be handy. He has 27 appearances in the competition, with seven goals and 10 assists.
Adding his experience and winners’ mentality into this talented group of United players could be an inspired move.
No commitment
If United are able to get a loan deal over the line, then this would be shrewd business.
Coman is a good player but not one United should pay over the odds for right now. His record of seven goals and four assists this season is less than half of Jadon Sancho’s contribution for Dortmund.
On a loan deal, United would pay a minimal fee and cover his wages, but if it doesn’t work out, there would be a ‘get out’ at the end of the season.
Considering his patchy record this past season, a loan move is best, as it is a deal which could go either way in terms of success.
If he does prove to be a perfect addition, then United can negotiate a fee next summer, and be more confident about what we are getting.
Coman’s ability to play on both the left and right wing makes him an ideal depth signing, allowing him to showcase his value over the season.

French link-up
One reason to believe Coman would be successful is to look at a potential link up between himself and both Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.
Coman played in the same France under-21 side as Martial, and then also featured in the 2018 World Cup team with Pogba.
Pogba and Coman also played together successfully at Juventus, in the same title winning side as Ex-Red Devils star Patrice Evra.
Pogba was quoted via ForzaItalianFootball in 2014: “He’s a fantastic footballer, he has unique potential.”
The feeling is mutual, with Coman telling BILD in 2016, via FourFourTwo: “He has unbelievable abilities and is a fantastic midfielder.”
Getting both players into the same United side could help both of them reach their full potential.
