Manchester United announced the arrival of Sekou Kone on deadline day, and already he’s getting stuck in.

Deadline day saw Manchester United complete two transfers with another two on the outgoing front.

Manuel Ugarte was the headline arrival from PSG as he signed a contract until 2029. Scott McTominay was one of the big departures joining Napoli.

Jadon Sancho also finally got his exit from Old Trafford joining Chelsea on a loan with obligation to buy.

But of all these deals, one which has gone under the radar could end up the best – that being Sekou Kone.

Less than 24 hours after United announced the arrival of Kone from FC Guidars, he has now been spotted at Carrington.

During Manchester United U18’s 2-0 win over Liverpool, Marcus Rashford was on the sideline watching and Kone was also there along with Jason Wilcox.

Kone has now taken to Instagram to share a photo of him and Rashford on the touchline during the U18 fixture.

Kone meeting Rashford is a good start to his life at United and hopefully, he will get around to meeting all his teammates as soon as possible as he adapts and settles into life in Manchester and the biggest club in the world.

What Manchester United can expect from wonderkid

Kone has not been signed as an academy player but rather is a player the club already are planning to integrate into the senior team.

Excitement is at a fever pitch, with MUTV pundit Ben Thornley lauding the transfer addition for United as being absolutely brilliant.

To gain insight into what Kone brings, it is best to look at his performances during the U17 World Cup for Mali, with the scout reports

In particular, the display against Argentina shows his qualities perfectly, with the defensive midfielder being almost like a combination of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante.
