Scott McTominay praises Bruno Fernandes
McTominay is training with Tyler Fletcher over the next few weeks as Scotland gear up for their World Cup campaign next month.
Ahead of this, McTominay has spoken with Sky Sports and discussed Bruno Fernandes.
“He’s a top pro and he’s a creative machine. His numbers are absolutely outrageous. And first and foremost, he’s a great guy as well.
“He’s so humble and no matter how the team’s performing, if it’s good or in bad moments, he’s there and that’s what you need from a captain.
“It’s fundamental for having players like that in your team. It’s the key to being successful in the long term. He deserves all the praise that he gets because he’s such a great guy.”
Fernandes has also been known to praise McTominay since his exit, as the pair probably wish they were still playing alongside each other.
McTominay has made it clear Fernandes deserves to be heralded not just for his on-pitch ability, but also off it, for his character.
