Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim has made his feelings clear on one Manchester United star’s performance in the recent Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
Bournemouth hosted Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday and Andoni Iraola’s men took control of the match in the first half.
Antoine Semenyo beat Andre Onana with a superb strike to put Bournemouth 1-0 up against United in the 23rd minute of the Premier League encounter.
Bournemouth took their advantage into half-time, but Andoni Iraola’s side would be unable to hold their lead and would be reduced to 10 men in the second half.
Evanilson was sent off for the Cherries in the 70th minute before struggling United striker Rasmus Hojlund found the equaliser for his side deep into injury time.
United snatched a Premier League point on their visit to the Vitality Stadium and the Red Devils languish in 14th place in the table with only four league matches left.
The Red Devils have failed to pick up a single win in their last five league matches and United are expected to finish the season outside the top half of the table.
United have 10 wins from 34 league matches and the Red Devils have suffered a whopping 15 Premier League defeats in their 2024-25 campaign.

Ruben Amorim’s verdict on Luke Shaw couldn’t be clear after the Bournemouth test at the Vitality Stadium
Luke Shaw made his first start for Manchester United since 2024 after Ruben Amorim included him in the starting XI for the Bournemouth match on Sunday.
The 29-year-old United left-back has had his season at Old Trafford disrupted again due to injuries and he has been reduced to six appearances across all competitions.
Luke Shaw started the match in the three-man backline of Amorim’s tactical system for United and the England star picked up important United first-team minutes.
The Red Devils defender played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium and even Luke Shaw caught the eye of United fans with his display.
Speaking after the match, United manager Amorim insisted that Shaw showed his “quality in the last third” during his performance on Sunday afternoon.
“It’s really important,” he told BBC Match of the Day, as per BBC Sport.
“Of course, we need to be careful with his availability. [After the red card], he was the guy to overload that side. He has quality in the last third, he has a good pass.”
Ruben Amorim offers his two cents on the Bournemouth result ahead of the Europa League encounter with Athletic Club
Amorim claimed that he is not fazed that United were not able to build on their morale with a win ahead of their Europa League match against Athletic Club.
“We’ve lost two points,” he said.
“We didn’t win, but it doesn’t matter – it’s a different competition.”
United knocked Lyon out of the Europa League in the quarter-finals and the Red Devils meet La Liga outfit Athletic Club in the semi-finals of the tournament.
Amorim’s men now travel to Spain and Athletic Club will host United at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao on Thursday for the first-leg Europa League semi-final tie.
