Manchester United fans wasted no time reacting to Patrick Dorgu’s performance against Bournemouth in the Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
Bournemouth made the breakthrough against Manchester United in the first half after forward Antoine Semenyo broke the deadlock at the Vitality Stadium.
Patrick Dorgu carelessly lost possession of the ball in the build-up to Antoine Semenyo’s opener and Bournemouth took a 1-0 lead into half-time on Sunday.
However, Andoni Iraola’s men were reduced to 10 men in the second half after Evanilson was sent off and United rallied back deep into injury time.
United striker Rasmus Hojlund netted a crucial equaliser for the Red Devils and Ruben Amorim’s men snatched a Premier League point from their match.
The Red Devils have climbed to 14th place in the Premier League table after United’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on the weekend.
United are winless in their last five Premier League matches and the Red Devils have picked up two draws and three defeats in their lacklustre 2024-25 campaign.
Ruben Amorim’s side have only four league matches remaining and United are on course for their worst finish since the Premier League’s inception in 1992.

What Man Utd fans were saying about Patrick Dorgu’s display vs Bournemouth in the Premier League match at the Vitality Stadium
Patrick Dorgu started as one of the wing-backs in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Manchester United in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The 20-year-old Danish wing-back played 90 minutes for the Red Devils before United manager Amorim withdrew him and replaced him with Christian Eriksen.
Dorgu was signed from Serie A side Lecce in the January transfer window and the United defender did impress early into his spell at Old Trafford this season.
However, the Denmark international’s form in recent weeks has been inconsistent and Dorgu underwhelmed with his showing in the Premier League clash on Sunday.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were left deeply divided by what defender Dorgu offered the Red Devils against Bournemouth.
One Red Devils supporter wrote: “I was against Dorgu signing in January. I wanted [Federico] Alvarez back or [Milos] Kerkez. This brother still thinks he is in Serie A, where he is allowed a lot of time on the ball.”
Another argued: “Dorgu’s last few games on the left have been average. He’s shown he’s fine with the ball ahead of him, but when he gets a pass inside, he tries to steady himself but not protect the ball, and loses it. That’s not entirely his fault, as his teammates should know his strengths.”
While a third suggested: “I think I have a problem with this Dorgu signing. No flair, no good use of the ball. Zero effectiveness. I understand any new player would probably struggle in this team at the moment, BUT [sic] he’s got to do better next season.”
Somebody else added: “Dorgu should never again play [at] RWB for me again, gives nothing in the position, he is just filling space.”
A fifth X user posted: “Shaw needs to play left wing-back in the next match. I don’t care how long he will be fit; just stop Dorgu, he hurts my eyes.”
“Seeing Shaw play today made me realise Dorgu still has a lot to learn,” another tweeted.
And a seventh United fan said: “Dorgu tries to dribble and ends up on his knees – how’s that possible?”
“Y’all should take it easy on Dorgu, please. [Noussair] Mazraoui was just as bad – in fact, I think he played better than Mazraoui,” somebody else claimed.”
Ruben Amorim sends a clear message about Man Utd’s performance in the 1-1 Premier League draw vs Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium
Speaking after United’s final match in April, Amorim said that his side “deserved” their Premier League point at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth.
“I think [we deserved it]. In the first half, we suffered with their high-intensity press, but we created chances,” he told BBC’s Match of the Day, as per BBC Sport.
“We had quite similar chances near the box with a lot of shots. I think we deserved at least one point if you look at the game.
“If you look at our last games, it’s always like this – we do something to help the opponent get an advantage.
“Then it’s really hard to score goals, but the players did really well to get at least one point.
“We have the ability to push our opponents. There are small things I think we can do better.
“We need to understand these moments better, but if you look at the 20 minutes [after Evanilson’s red card], we had situations to score, which is really important.”
United will now resume their crucial Europa League campaign on 1st May with their first-leg semi-final clash against Athletic Club at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
