Manchester United will finally get the player the club has been waiting for.
An all time long transfer saga is nearly at an end. Jadon Sancho is a Manchester United player, with just the final signatures missing.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has been waiting for this moment for over a year too. Every day he is asked for updates on Sancho to United, and won’t know what to do with himself now it is over.

His announcement did not disappoint. Romano uttered his ‘here we go’ phrase signifying the deal was done.
Within 10 minutes Romano’s tweet had racked up 65,000 likes, and 100,000 within 20 minutes.
There was a mixture of relief and celebration among Manchester United supporters.
Nobody wanted to sit through a long saga all summer again, with the prospect of missing out. Fortunately United have acted more determined and more professionally this summer.
The Athletic report Sancho could undergo his medical soon, with agreement from Dortmund given.
BILD say the deal for the 21-year-old is agreed at £73 million rising to £81.5 million with installments.
Rio Ferdinand reacted with a ‘welcome to Manchester’ tweet.
