Raphael Varane is finally officially a Manchester United player after the French international was paraded on the pitch before the clash with Leeds.
The defender’s move has been confirmed and he has already had a taste of the Old Trafford atmosphere.

Former United central defender Rio Ferdinand has welcomed Varane to the club.
He was pitchside with BT Sport when Varane was introduced to the crowd and shared an embrace with him afterwards.
Reaction in Madrid
One of Varane’s former Real Madrid teammates also reacted to the confirmed announcement.
Karim Benzema, who also plays with Varane at international level, commented on the defender’s Instagram post sending a message to United fans.

‘Fumeur’ literally means smoker, but it’s likely that Benzema meant to get across that Varane is on fire and will be red-hot for United.
Varane won everything there is to win at Madrid and has left in search of a new challenge.
He clearly leaves with the best wishes of Benzema. Other Madrid players such as Marcelo and Luka Modric have also sent him messages since his exit was imminent.
