Raphael Varane had to wait for his move to Manchester United to be confirmed.
Now he is officially a United player and has already had a taste of the Old Trafford atmosphere.
Varane has already said his long goodbyes to Real Madrid on social media.
When it came to sending a message to his new club and acknowledging his move, he kept it short and sweet.
We could all see Varane take a break from accepting the acclaim of the United fans to take a selfie on the Old Trafford pitch.
He swiftly uploaded it to Instagram, along with a message to his new fanbase.
Varane’s initial communication was not just limited to two words. He has already described United as an ‘iconic’ club in his first interview.

He said: “Manchester United is one of the most iconic clubs in world football and the chance to come here and play in the Premier League is something I couldn’t turn down.
“I want to make an impact here and I will give everything to become part of this club’s illustrious history.”
It almost did not seem real that Varane was a United, even though we knew he had since the agreement in July.
The days dragging by without an official announcement only added to that. But he’s here now.
United fans still have to wait to see him in action but the excitement has ramped up after seeing him on the Old Trafford pitch.
