A former Manchester United teammate of Rasmus Hojlund has now reacted to the Napoli summer signing’s stunning career resurgence away from Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund made his exit from Old Trafford in the summer and the 22-year-old Danish forward completed a deadline-day loan move to Serie A outfit Napoli.
The on-loan Manchester United striker fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim at the Red Devils and Hojlund struggled to impress across his two seasons at Old Trafford.
However, Hojlund was afforded the opportunity to return to Italy and received a second chance to put his career back on track after his underwhelming United spell.
The Denmark international has sparked a turnaround in form at the defending Serie A champions and has become a key player for Napoli manager Antonio Conte.

Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen drops his verdict on Man Utd and Napoli striker Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund has played a starring role for Napoli since his loan move and the Manchester United loanee has netted four times in six appearances this season.
Antonio Conte had needed to rely on the Denmark striker for Napoli’s Serie A title defence after ex-United star Romelu Lukaku suffered a thigh injury in pre-season.
Christian Eriksen played alongside Hojlund at Old Trafford and the 33-year-old ex-United midfielder has linked up with his Denmark teammate for the October break.
The Danish midfielder, who left Old Trafford as a free agent in the summer, believes that Hojlund “always” had a “strong” mentality and it is now showing at Napoli.
“I’m incredibly happy for ‘Ralles,’” Christian Eriksen said ahead of Denmark’s October international fixtures, as per Goal.
“I know what he went through at United, good and bad, but he’s always been strong mentally.
“He works incredibly hard and gives it his all, so it’s just great that he’s now scoring goals.”

Napoli and Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund is tipped to play a key role during the October international break with Denmark
Napoli’s loan deal for United striker Hojlund includes an obligation to buy for £38m in 2026 if certain conditions are met during his loan spell with the Serie A club.
Hojlund’s spell at United could be all but over for the long term after Benjamin Sesko arrived at Old Trafford in the summer and is now Ruben Amorim’s main target man.
However, the rich vein of form that Hojlund is now experiencing at Napoli will be a major boost for Brian Riemer’s Denmark side during the October break.
Denmark have lost two of three World Cup qualifying matches and Brian Riemer’s men sit bottom of Group D ahead of their next qualifier on Thursday.
Riemer’s side will play Belarus at the ZTE Arena in Hungary on Thursday evening before Denmark host Greece at the Parken in Copenhagen on Sunday evening.
