Rasmus Hojlund has not lost his touch with his sense of humour after the Manchester United star’s performance for Napoli in the 2-1 win over Genoa.
The 22-year-old Manchester United striker was in the starting XI for Sunday’s Serie A match and Rasmus Hojlund impressed for Napoli with his superb performance.
Jeff Ekhator broke the deadlock in the first half and put Genoa 1-0 up against Napoli in the first half of the clash before Antonio Conte’s men rallied back after the break.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa cancelled out Jeff Ekhator’s opener in the 57th minute before Hojlund slammed home the winner for Napoli in the 75th minute of the tie.
Hojlund proved to be the difference-maker between the two sides before Napoli manager Antonio Conte hooked off the striker for Lorenzo Lucca in the 82nd minute.

Man Utd loanee Rasmus Hojlund makes his feelings clear on Napoli’s 2-1 Serie A win over Genoa
Napoli’s result at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday has allowed the defending Serie A champions to lead the pack in the title race this season.
Antonio Conte’s side have lost only once in their opening six Serie A matches in the 2025-26 campaign and Napoli are level on points with second-place Roma.
Rasmus Hojlund is a key part of Napoli’s Serie A title defence after former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku suffered an injury in August.
The on-loan United star took to social media after the 2-1 win over Genoa and Hojlund shared a tongue-in-cheek message with the Napoli fans.
“Apparently, it takes two to tango,” Hojlund wrote to his Instagram followers.
Rasmus Hojlund is thriving at Napoli under Antonio Conte after the Man Utd striker’s stunning run of form on loan
Hojlund left United on deadline day in September and completed a loan move to Napoli, with the Red Devils including a permanent buy option in the deal.
Napoli will have to pay United a £38m transfer fee in 2026 if certain conditions are met during Hojlund’s loan spell, including qualifying for the Champions League.
Hojlund has made a strong start to life at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and the on-loan United striker has netted four times in six appearances for Napoli.
The Napoli summer signing’s exit at Old Trafford was all but sealed after United signed striker Benjamin Sesko from German side RB Leipzig in August.
Hojlund wanted to stay and fight for his place under Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim, but the ex-Atalanta man instead made his return to Italy for the 2025-26 season.
