Manuel Ugarte clinched his move from Manchester United on transfer deadline day, to the relief of Red Devils supporters.
Uruguay international Manuel Ugarte is officially a Manchester United player, with his £42 million transfer among seven incoming and outgoing deals concluded on deadline day.
Ugarte, 23, spent just one season at Paris Saint-Germain, with the move inverting Angel di Maria’s switch in the opposite direction just under a decade ago.
While United fans were happy to wave goodbye to a player who showed a lack of fight, PSG supporters don’t necessarily feel the same way about Ugarte – who was instead forced out for tactical reasons.

Manuel Ugarte departs Paris Saint-Germain
Manuel Ugarte plays with a style that is easy to appreciate, and PSG fans are not particularly happy to see him sold.
The responses to PSG announcing Ugarte’s exits demonstrated the unease at his departure.
One fan wrote in response: “Wish he could have stayed a little longer…”, while another added: “I feel we will regret this.”
A third added: “There was no need to sell @ugartemanu thank you for your visit and your professionalism towards @psg. We’re going to regret that, that’s for sure!!!!”
And another wrote: “Too bad I would have liked to see him play a whole season at his best level.”
A further comment read: “Young, talented, involved, hardworking, exemplary, character, physique…
“We’re making a team for the future and we’re not even looking to see this player on the field for more than 6 months. Incomprehensible as usual!”
And another fan moaned: “Why would you let such a talent like this go!!! Why don’t you guys understand squad depth.”
“Big mistake 😢 …he is the best midfielder”, warned another response.

Manchester United fans feel positive
The comments from Paris Saint-Germain supporters highlight the respect for Ugarte’s talents and professionalism.
This can only encourage Manchester United. When Angel di Maria left Manchester United for PSG, all you could find on social media was ‘snake emojis’ from fans upset at the manner of his exit.
United supporters feel pleased with the deal for Ugarte, bringing in a player who was hailed by Dan Ashworth as one of the best in the world at his role.
Ugarte won’t be available to face Liverpool as he was not registered in time, but he also has not played since the Copa America, so a little time to get up to speed may be a blessing in disguise.
