Manchester United have fresh hope over a move for Uruguay international midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Buying players is not straightforward, even when a player wants to join. A move has to work for both clubs financially.
As yet, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been unable to strike an agreement for Manuel Ugarte.
One issue is that United may need to sell a midfielder to make space for Ugarte.
Another is that PSG did not want to weaken their side without adding to it first. This problem is now solved.

PSG agree Joao Neves deal
Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal to sign Joao Neves, who at one point looked high on Manchester United’s radar.
Joao Neves’ release clause proved prohibitive, with Benfica seeking more than £100 million.
PSG have found a clever way around this, by structuring a player plus cash deal, throwing talented midfielder Renato Sanches into the mix.
Fabrizio Romano reports it is a ‘here we go’ for Neves to PSG, explaining that Neves is heading to Paris for a medical.
Sanches’ move to Benfica is initially a loan, with an expectation it could become permanent.

Manuel Ugarte has already agreed personal terms, and in a video update on YouTube earlier, Romano insisted he is ‘waiting patiently’ to secure his move to Manchester United.
Ugarte is still on his summer break after the Copa America, and may yet be able to head straight for United.
Now with a deal for Neves agreed, PSG are expected to be more amenable to a sale, Manchester United just have to front up the money. It’s been suggested a loan with an option could be a possibility.
No midfield signings have yet been made at Old Trafford, with Ugarte top of the list of options. This is a deal which could now quickly develop…
