Peter Schmeichel says he believes Denmark are favourites heading into tonight’s Euro 2020 semi-final against England.
The Manchester United legend says Denmark are underestimated and deserve their spot in the last four.
He told the club website: “We are currently ninth in the FIFA rankings. I think we’ve lost [only] five games in 50.”

Schmeichel was a key part of Denmark’s Euro 92 winning team and now his son Kasper is representing the team at Euro 2020.
Asked to predict the result, Schmeichel stopped short of giving a specific scoreline, but says he considers Denmark as favourites.
He said: “If I’m honest, I think Denmark are favourites. I think it’s going to be tight. There are great similarities between the managers.
“I really do believe this is very evenly balanced, in spite of what people may read in England. It’s very much about what happens on the day.”
United stars in action
United stars Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are certain to start the fixture at Wembley.
Incoming United signing Jadon Sancho is also hoping to retain his place after a starring performance against Ukraine in the quarter-final.
Marcus Rashford will also be ready if called upon, having featured regularly as a substitute through the tournament.
A place in the final against Italy on Sunday is up for grabs, and while England expects, as Schmeichel points out: Don’t underestimate the Danes.
