Manchester United chief executive officer Omar Berrada has responded to speculation that the Glazer family could look to sell the Red Devils in the future.
The Glazers have been deeply divisive figures in the eyes of Manchester United fans after their controversial takeover of the Premier League club back in 2005.
United co-chairmen Joel Glazer and Avram Glazer have flirted with the idea of selling the club in the past, but a full-scale exit from Old Trafford has never materialised.
However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has since become a co-owner of the Red Devils after the 73-year-old British billionaire purchased an initial 27.7 per cent stake in 2024.

Omar Berrada sets the record straight over the Glazers and Man Utd amid Ineos’ reign at Old Trafford
According to a report from Bloomberg News earlier this month, members of the polarising Glazer family were weighing up the idea of exiting their stakes in the club.
Reuters cited that Bloomberg News claimed that the Glazers had been ‘studying the possibility of divesting part or all of their holdings’ in Manchester United.
However, the Glazer family still holds their commanding control over the Premier League club since the report emerged, despite the noise around a potential sale.
Omar Berrada appeared at the FT Weekend Festival in New York last weekend and the Man Utd CEO feels that the Glazers remain fully invested in the Red Devils.
“My sense is they are very committed to the club and they are here for the long term,” he said, as per The Athletic.

Omar Berrada on the Man Utd change under Ineos and the Glazers during the 2025-26 Premier League season
Ineos are in charge of football operations at Old Trafford and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s regime made the decision to sack Ruben Amorim as Man Utd manager.
Berrada dropped his verdict on the dismissal of Ruben Amorim from Man Utd and the arrival of Michael Carrick at the Premier League club in the 2025-26 season.
“You have to remember he came in mid-season,” he said.
“He didn’t have a pre-season. He didn’t have time to implement his ideas. Then by the time he got to the second season, he did have time to implement his ideas over the summer and we actually saw a really good start. We played really well in multiple games, but the weight of the previous season was still there.
“He perhaps wasn’t able to move on at the right time, so we felt [we] had to make a change. And Michael Carrick came in in January and the team has turned it around.”
Amorim had been in charge at Old Trafford for 14 months after Ineos brought the 41-year-old Portuguese coach to England from Sporting CP in November 2024.
