Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his Manchester United return as it was made official earlier today.
Ronaldo sent a message to supporters toasting his comeback and paying tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The superstar’s message saw countless replies from big names, including United teammate Raphael Varane.
The most high profile of all was Brazil legend Pele, who congratulated Ronaldo on his return
Pele’s message read: “There’s no better feeling than conquering the world and coming home. Always be happy, Cristiano.”

One star to another
Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo have met previously at various FIFA awards ceremonies and draws.
When it comes to international goals, Pele has been long overtaken by Ronaldo.
Pele scored 77 goals for Brazil, while Ronaldo has 109 goals for Portugal and counting.
Ronaldo can add to these figures in upcoming international games against Ireland, Qatar, and Azerbaijan.
He hopes to have one more attempt – at least – at winning the World Cup in 2022.
