Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt have had their say on who should replace Ruben Amorim.

Scholes and Butt criticised Amorim for his management of academy players at United, but they have also criticised Jason Wilcox for his role at the club.
Speaking on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast, Scholes and Butt were presented with several candidates and asked whether or not they would take them as the next United manager.

Both agreed that Xavi Hernandez, Gareth Southgate, Enzo Maresca, Marco Silva and top candidate Oliver Glasner would not be a good fit.
Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is the only candidate that was answered: “potentially”.
Both Scholes and Butt agree that Andoni Iraola, Thomas Tuchel, Unai Emery, Eddie Howe and former teammate Roy Keane would be a good fit.

Scholes and Butt both didn’t hesitate to suggest that Keane would be a good choice as the next United manager.
They both played alongside Keane during their careers at United, and they are certainly not alone in their opinion.

In fact, United have been told to hire Keane by Sky Sports pundit Jamie O’Hara, who argued he could help Fletcher manage the workload at Old Trafford.
When asked back in October, Keane wanted Diego Simeone to take charge at Old Trafford, but luring him away from Atletico Madrid could prove difficult.
