Paul Pogba appears in great spirits ahead of France’s final warm-up game for Euro 2020.
France take on Bulgaria at 8.10pm on Tuesday night in a friendly match.
Pogba posted a picture having fun in training as he steps up his preparation for the Euros.
Pogba’s France are in the toughest group of all at the Euros, which will see him go head to head with Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes.
France are in a group with Portugal, Germany, and Hungary. The match with Portugal will be a rematch of the Euro 2016 final.
Les Bleus went on to win the 2018 World Cup. Now in the first major tournament since, Pogba is wary of over confidence.
Pogba was quoted by TF1: “Of course it’s scary for other teams, but it can also be scary for us too. It can put pressure on us because of the team we have, that we feel that we’re guaranteed to win or even to always score three goals.
“People are going to expect all of this. But that’s not football. It’s the ego that kills you.”
Pogba’s Manchester United future is still unclear and is unlikely to be addressed until after the tournament. He has just one year on his current deal remaining.
