Ruben Amorim has taken a particular interest in a handful of Manchester United academy prospects in his two months in charge.
With such a talented academy, which sees the U18s walking their league once again – Ruben Amorim was always going to be impressed with the youngsters at his disposal.
Amorim’s first training session at Carrington saw 14 prospects involved due to the international break – but one stood out quite clearly.
Godwill Kukonki was instantly promoted, with Amorim praising the 16-year-old’s maturity on the pitch.
Kukonki’s impressive training displays led to his involvement as he was named on the bench for the first team more than once.
However, now Kukonki has been joined by another talent seeking to become the apple of Amorim’s eye.

Jack Moorhouse making up for lost time with Manchester United
Amorim gave 27 Sporting academy players their debut, which bodes well for the youngsters in the ranks at Carrington right now.
Specifically, Jack Moorhouse is positioning himself to be the next big thing at United – after returning late last year from a 431-day lay-off.
Since then, Moorhouse has impressed and now MEN journalist Steven Railston has reported what he is hearing about Moorhouse.
“I spoke to someone at United last month who praised Moorhouse and he seems to be making up for lost time after injury. The 19-year-old is a brilliant ball carrier”.
This followed Moorhouse being spotted in first-team training on Wednesday – where he was mixing it up with Bruno Fernandes and Co.
Ruben Amorim surely lining up Moorhouse debut
Seeing Moorhouse in senior training is not a shock.
The 19-year-old is among the very best attacking midfielders at the club. Importantly Moorhouse impressed with two goals while Amorim watched the U21s smash Southampton last month.
For this performance, Moorhouse has been nominated for PL 2 Player of the Month – which is completely deserved.
All of this – along with the lack of options at No.10 – points toward Amorim grooming Moorhouse for his debut which could realistically come this month with favourable Europa League ties to come.
Moorhouse at 19, is more developed than a player like Amir Ibragimov – as talented as he is – which means it would make sense for Moorhouse to be considered as one to make the step up in the coming months.
