All the latest Manchester United manager news and updates.
The Manchester United managerial situation is a fast-moving puzzle, following Ruben Amorim’s sacking.
Darren Fletcher is preparing to take charge for the game against Burnley, with United subsequently looking to appoint an interim until the end of the season.

Solskjaer and Carrick could join forces
Manchester United chiefs have been holding talks with former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Michael Carrick, regarding the interim role.
The belief was that the duo were vying for the same position, but they could join forces once again.
Sky Sports report Solskjaer and Carrick could forge a management team in the dugout until the end of the season.
United fans are enthused about the idea of a potential Solskjaer return, voting in favour of the Norwegian in our TalkingPoints poll.
The situation could be resolved quickly, with the new team in place before the weekend’s FA Cup game against Brighton.
This would avoid the prospect of the new interim boss’ first match being against rivals City the following week.

Xavi and Glasner interested
Journalist Ben Jacobs has offered his insight on two interested contenders in the permanent role, Xavi and Oliver Glasner.
Speaking via Talksport, Jacobs said that the cost of paying compensation to Palace is expected to put United off an immediate move for Glasner.
He said: “If they tried now he would be interested, but it’s going to be more costly than just letting his contract run down and cost is a factor.
“You’ve got Marco Silva who’s not yet signed a Fulham deal. You’ve got Andoni Iraola whose contract is winding down.
“So there are names out there in the summer with Premier League experience that Manchester United may consider, particularly Glasner, I am told, at this early stage, he can be available but will be easier to get in the summer.”
He added on former Barcelona coach Xavi: “It’s absolutely true to my knowledge that Xavi would like the Manchester United job but I think at the moment the current trend is towards a manager that has experience within the Premier League.”
Appointing an interim now buys United time to assess the situation and the squad under different management, with a more interesting managerial market in the summer.
