The prospect of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returning to Manchester United is growing stronger.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being linked with a stunning return to Manchester United as interim manager until the end of the season.
While Darren Fletcher has been appointed as the short-term replacement for Ruben Amorim, United are seeking a more experienced man to take over until the end of the season.
Solskjaer is interested in returning to United, and now BBC Sport report United have held talks with the Norwegian over a potential return.
He is a free agent following his dismissal as Besiktas manager at the start of the current season.
United In Focus readers have been discussing the idea of a possible Solskjaer return over the past 48 hours, via TalkingPoints. Here is a round-up of the responses…

Man Utd fans on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
We asked fans for a verdict on whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should return to the club as manager, and the support was clear.
At time of writing, 70 per cent of fans in our poll responded, ‘Yes, in a heartbeat’, with 30 per cent responding ‘No, once was enough’.
One fan responded: “It takes a former player/manager to know United’s legacy and expectations.”
This was a clear response to Ruben Amorim’s tough spell as head coach, where fans felt that his struggle to understand the club was critical to his failure.
Another fan added of Solskjaer: “Understands the Man Utd philosophy & spirit and practices it fully.”
A third fan wrote: “I think Ole Gunnar has all that is needed to bring that winning mentality @ Old Trafford, his heart is always at Manchester United.”
“It will [be] great to bring him back,” added another supporter.
It’s hard to get United fans to totally agree collectively, and Solskjaer’s first spell certainly saw some diverse views on his management.
“Not a chance,” wrote one fan, while another added: “I mean it all went so well last time…”
But with a 70 per cent approval rate, Solskjaer certainly has a swell of support before he has even started.
One more fan added: “Bring Ole back and try to get Roy Keane to join his coaching staff.”
