Ruben Amorim is exactly one week away from becoming the new head coach of Manchester United.
The 39-year-old is set to take charge of Manchester United on November 11th at the start of the international break.
It means Ruben Amorim’s first match as Manchester United boss will come against Ipswich Town on November 24th where he will face former Red Devils coach Kieran McKenna in the opposite dugout.
A glance at Amorim’s “spectacular” style of play suggests he will introduce a plethora of changes at Old Trafford, including a potential change to a 3-4-3 formation.
Ruben Amorim‘s arrival likely means changes for lots of players, including new roles for Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes, while Amorim could also improve Rasmus Hojlund.
But, ultimately, there are a lot of unknowns with Amorim’s appointment. Thankfully, Morten Hjulmand has told fans and players what to expect from their new head coach.

Morten Hjulmand lifts lid on what Ruben Amorim is like
Hjulmand arrived in Sporting in 2023 and under Amorim he has become a star.
The Danish midfielder was made captain by Amorim this summer and Hjulmand has already made 14 appearances this season. His 15th will likely come against Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
Ahead of that match, Hjulmand spoke to the media and he has shared exactly what it is like working with Amorim.
As quoted by Manchester Evening News, Hjulmand said: “Of course, Ruben was one of the reasons why I came to Sporting.
“When you work with Ruben you see a clear picture. That was important when I joined Sporting – first to understand how he plays.
“The way that he manages the team inside the pitch and outside the pitch as well is not like I anything I have seen in my short career. I think Manchester [United] are in good hands with Ruben.”
Morten Hjulmand linked with move to Man United
Even before the appointment of Amorim, United were linked with a move for Hjulmand this summer.
The 25-year-old fit the profile of midfielder that United were looking for, but eventually Manuel Ugarte signed from PSG for £42m.
Ugarte also shares close ties to Amorim having worked with him at Sporting before his move to Paris.

Now that Amorim is days away from joining United, links to Hjulmand have intensified once again. With Casemiro in his twilight years, Hjulmand has been tipped as a potential successor to the Brazilian.
However, it is understood that there is a £67m release clause in Morten Hjulmand’s contract at Sporting.
